We welcomed guest Julie from Canada, visiting French-English bilingual Toastmasters clubs around the world.
Our theme was summer reading. Rusty was our Toastmaster, Anusree was our General Evaluator, Cheryl was the Timer, Sylvia was the Ah-Counter, Ann was the Grammarian, and Nirva was the Listening Post. Laura provided the two words of the day: "embark" in English and "démarrer" in French.
Ponni gave a speech about her experiences at a concert of a famous Indian songwriter and singer; Militza evaluated Ponni's speech. Then Colette gave a speech about a painting she and her late husband bought on a trip to Mexico City many years ago; Pat gave the evaluation of Colette's speech.
Ann was the Table Topics master. Sylvia, Ponni, Anusree, Militza, Pat and Julie answered the Table Topics questions. Anusree won the Best Table Topics award!

Cheryl gave her ice breaker speech from the Presentation Mastery path, on the difficulties of keeping our attention at the highest level in today's circumstances of COVID-19. Anusree was her evaluator.
Militza was the Table Topics Master; Pat, Nirva, Anusree, Sylvia (guest), Linda and Rusty answered the questions. Sylvia won the Best Table Topics award!

Militza était le Table Topics Master; Pat, Nirva, Anusree, Sylvia (invitée), Linda et Rusty ont répondu aux questions. Sylvia a gagné la médaille du Meilleur Table Topics !

Due to the pandemic response, we held our first-ever online meeting today, with a theme of "Celebrate your creativity!"
Sophie was our Toastmaster, Ponni was our General Evaluator, Militza was our Table Topics Master, Nirva was our Ah-Counter and Grammarian, Rusty was our Timer, Temple was our Listening Post.
Pat gave a speech in French and English about the impact of the coronavirus on professors, and specifically on her French classes. Anusree was her evaluator.
Ann gave a speech in French about the French language and why we should learn to speak French. Helene was her evaluator.
The Table Topics respondents were Anusree, Danielle, Helene, Gloria, Sylvia, and Ponni. They did a great job on answering the questions from Militza, but only two reached the minimum one minute duration.
We were delighted to welcome three guests: Gloria, Sylvia, and
Gustaf.

Ann a donné un discours en français sur la langue française et pourquoi on devrait apprendre à parler le français. Helene était son évaluateur.
Ceux qui ont répondu aux questions de Table Topics étaient Anusree, Danielle, Helene, Gloria, Sylvia, et Ponni. Ils ont fait du bon travail pour répondre aux questions de Militza, mais seulement deux ont atteint le minimum d'une minute de durée.
Nous avons été enchantés d'accueillir trois invités : Gloria, Sylvia, and Gustaf.
Our next meeting on March 25th is canceled.

Our theme was "what if...?". Sophie was our Toastmaster. We had a Table Topics Marathon, with Mokhtar as our Table Topics Master. Cheryl was our Ah-Counter, Militza was our Timer, Temple was our Listening Post, and Charlene was our General Evaluator.
Charlene (our Area Director) and Mark were our guests.
In addition to our typical 6 Table Topics questions related to the theme of the meeting, we also showed 20 photos and had members and guests talk about one photo at a time. It was a lot of fun!
Temple won the Best Table Topics Ribbon!

Cheryl était notre compteur d'hésitations, Militza notre chronométreur, Temple notre Poste d'Écoute, et Charlene notre Évaluateur Général. Charlene (notre Directeur de Zone) et Mark étaient nos invités.
En plus des six questions Table Topics typiques sur le thème, nous avons aussi montré 20 photos et les membres et invités ont parlé sur chaque photo, une par une. C'était très amusant !
